Well unfortunately, I haven't been able to update the website because I have been furiously preparing for the Taste of Sydney event at Centennial Park from this Thursday 10th March through to Sunday the 13th March 2011.

Getting ready for this has stung us into action and finally we have finished a process that Mum and Dad started with the jams and marmalades being available in smaller jars. The label has been freshened up and after Taste of Sydney we will be releasing all the new size jars for sale on the website.

Look forward to seeing you at Taste if you can get there - if not - on the swings and roundabouts.

Cheers, Kate.

They have not been let off the leash yet, I still need/have mum in the cooking department, and they reinforce why they did what they did nearly every day.

I can't quite believe that mum and dad have been running the Preserves for 16 years now! Obviously, like all younger people who think they know it all, I came into this business thinking that I could show mum and dad a thing or two a thing about running this business, particularly in the age of the interwebs as they might like to call it.

... but - what I have come to realise is that they created something through a lot of hard work - and at its core is a real commitment to quality, in everything they produce.

Being in the middle of oranges I will deal with them and tell you about them in the next journal entry.
